Welcome to the 1st edition
of Symbiosis Film Festival
With its continued focus on supporting the creativity and entrepreneurship of India’s youth, the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) {SIU} launches the Symbiosis Film Festival (SFF) to provide a platform for budding filmmakers to showcase their cinematic craft. The two-day inaugural edition of SFF 2024 will celebrate the art of filmmaking, with a special focus on screenwriting. Scheduled to be held at SIU’s Lavale and Viman Nagar campuses, SFF 2024 will bring together a mélange of industry experts and young filmmakers for a first-of-its-kind film festival in India.
Encouraging the Budding Filmmakers!
Towards building bridges between industry newcomers and experts, SFF 2024’s primary objective is to promote the art of screenwriting by providing opportunities for young writers to engage with film professionals, while simultaneously showcasing their short-form cinematic craft. In addition, SFF aims to:
- Foster a sense of community among young filmmakers and screenwriters
- Encourage creative collaboration between screenwriters and filmmakers
- Provide educational and networking opportunities for participants
- Celebrate artistic expression through diversity and inclusivity in storytelling
