A successful 2nd Edition of Symbiosis Film Festival
Building on the energy and warmth of the inaugural edition, Symbiosis International University hosted the 2nd Edition of the Symbiosis Film Festival (SFF) 2025, this time putting a special spotlight on the writing and creating process behind feature and documentary films. SFF turned into a vibrant space where national and international short fiction and documentary filmmakers, artists, technicians, industry experts, and cinephiles came together to soak in the magic of cinema. The two-day event took place across the Symbiosis Pune campuses on the 5th and 6th of December, 2025.

Encouraging Budding Filmmakers!
Aiming to bring together industry newcomers and experts, SFF 2025’s primary objective will be to promote the art of screenplay writing by providing opportunities for young writers to engage with film professionals, while simultaneously showcasing their short-form cinematic craft. In addition, SFF aims to:
- Foster a sense of community among young filmmakers and screenwriters
- Encourage creative collaboration between screenwriters and filmmakers
- Provide educational and networking opportunities for participants
- Celebrate artistic expression through diversity and inclusivity in storytelling
Competition Overview
Short Fiction
Around 8-10 films will be shortlisted for the award consideration.
Duration: not more than 20 minutes
Short Documentary
